Job Description: ABB is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Staff Engineer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting Project Managers and Principals by contributing to both design and investigative services of various building systems, especially building envelopes and parking garages. As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for a diverse set of tasks, including:
Investigation:
o Review design and construction documents.
o Conduct forensic investigations.
o Investigate and document existing conditions.
o Perform non-destructive and destructive testing.
o Research code requirements and manufacturer recommendations.
o Analyze evidence collected.
o Develop conclusions and recommendations.
o Write detailed reports presenting investigative findings.
Remedial Design and Construction:
o Study existing building conditions and identify failures within components and systems.
o Research remedial design solutions.
o Perform structural calculations.
o Prepare comprehensive design documents.
o Manage the bidding process and administer the construction contract.
o Inspect remedial construction related to the design.
Salary: $65,000–$85,000k
