ASCE 2025 Spring Scholarships!

The Austin Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is proud to announce the availability of three (3) scholarships in amounts of $2,500, $1,500, and $1,000. The Austin Branch encourages all interested students who meet the requirements to apply! 

Requirements for application:

● University of Texas at Austin or Texas State University student registered for the Spring 2025 semester.

● Undergraduate enrolled in the Department of Civil Engineering currently classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior.

● Member in the ASCE Student Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin or Texas State University. Active participation is encouraged. 

Applications must be received by 11:59 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Recipients will be notified of their selection by March 28, and will be invited to attend the April Austin ASCE Branch Luncheon on April 15 to be recognized.

Engineer of the Year

Nominations for the 2025 Austin Branch Garabed A. Harutunian Civil Engineer of the Year Award are now open! The deadline to submit a nomination is January 6, 2025. The winner will be announced as part of the Engineers Week festivities in February.

Think about the many wonderful engineers that serve the Austin Branch and the civil engineering profession and show them your appreciation by nominating them for the Civil Engineer of the Year Award. Surely you know someone deserving to be considered for this award!

Young Engineer of the Year

Nominations for the 2025 Austin YMF Young Civil Engineer of the Year Award are now open! The deadline to submit a nomination is January 6, 2025. The winner will be announced as part of the Engineers Week festivities in February.

This award is to be presented to a Younger Member (age 35 and younger) who has demonstrated leadership, contribution to practice, and participation in professional & civic organizations.

ASCE YMF 2025 Spring Scholarship

The Austin Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Younger Member Forum is proud to announce the availability of the 2025 Spring Scholarship.

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for a scholarship:

  • Current senior at a high school in the following counties: Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, McCulloch, San Saba, Menard, Mills, Mason, Lampasas, Lavaca, Lee, or Llano

  • Planning on attending an institution of higher learning in fall 2025 in pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering, STEM, or related field.
