Speaker: Yantao Huang, University of Texas Center for Transportation Research
Yantao Huang received his BS degree in transportation engineering from China's Central South University in 2012, and his master’s degree in transportation engineering from Imperial College London. He began working with Dr. Kara Kockelman to pursue his Ph.D. at the University of Texas, Austin in Jan 2017. His research interests are rooted in shared autonomous vehicle applications and network simulations. He has contributed to research analysis and travel behavior modeling for two DOT-sponsored research projects on the topic of smart transport systems for Texas, and contributed to electric vehicle infrastructure optimization research for a National Science Foundation project. Currently, Yantao is exploring the impact of shared autonomous vehicles on transit systems.
